The Cedric Brown Collection

There was a point where the rules mattered and then all of the sudden…they didn’t. This outfit is the outward expression of that sentiment. I have to take a moment to highlight a rising star in the fashion industry.

First Take from Cedric Brown and his brand, Cedric Brown Collections:

“Cedric Brown Collections is a cutting-edge apparel business. Offering luxury, elegance, quality, and versatility. My slogan, “From evening wear to streetwear, CBC makes a chic statement,” rings true. Sending a message through my colorful, bold prints, I paint abstract art that is made into limited edition prints on accessories: kimonos, scarves, neckties, handkerchiefs, and socks. Each piece of my eponymous collection boasts hand-crafted designs that catch the eye and refuse to let go. My designs have been featured on CNN, Birmingham Times, Jezebel, and Sheen Magazine. Some notable celebrities have been wearing my work, such as Rapper Young Thug. Wale, Angie Stone, news anchor Jovita Moore.” — CEO Cedric Brown

It is truly a pleasure to be bucketed in a group as prestigious as this one, but out of the group, I’m going to have to take the Wale Approach. This outfit is a subtle press on the fashion norms. Typically people put boots away in the summer. I decided to wear the olive Chelsea boots. White jeans are still good, we haven’t quite hit Labor day yet lol. A bandana is either a major hit or an utter fail. I opted to wear the scarf like a bandana. It’s hot, and it just felt like the right thing to do. I think this outfit would be perfect with or without the denim shirt. It gives me artistic/island vibes which leads me to the location. If you’ve read this far, I’d love to hear your thoughts. The BeltLine

          :

I chose this particular bridge on the BeltLine because it gives a really eclectic artsy vibe. The graffiti on the walls is a testament to the street culture. There is also classical street art in some of the space for those who are less progressive. To add icing to the cake, there is sometimes a piano on the sidewalk that is fully functional and ready for you to become the next Alicia Keys or John Legend.

Dora Had The Right Idea:

There’s so much to explore on the BeltLine, and the summer is definitely an ideal time to do so. Grab a friend and go explore! The BeltLine can also make for a wonderful date location, there are so many easily accessible things to do there. I’m certain you won’t regret it, and if by some chance you do, give me a shout so we can revisit and I’ll show you the BeltLine my way!

To a Life Worth Living,

The Wkender.
