Back like I never left (not really but you get it lol)
<

It’s been a while, again, but I’m back with a new post.

A lot has changed for me personally in the last year; if you follow me on IG, you saw the list I posted on my B-day. If not, you should definitely check out that post for insights.

With that said, I’m thinking it’s time to shift the post cadence permanently. Several things are floating in the back of mind as to why this makes the most sense for me right now, but to keep it simple… I got some stuff to talk about, but family comes first! At this point, I’m aiming for a monthly cadence. Your engagement could lead me to some impromptu posts, love you guys,  but the core will be on a month-to-month basis!

Other updates, I’ve gained some quarantine/fatherhood weight (Lawd) so just know it’s become even more complex to find these fits. Think I’m gonna just go custom for everything – talking like I got long money lol. Also, I found a dope photographer to help me re-energize the blog content. (Shout out to my guy Phil!!!)

This suit is custom from tip to toe. I chose the fabric and the double-breasted style to create a more elegant surface look, but ended up choosing to go more casual for the final fit. You know I had to go green for St. Patties Day (post coming out late but know I donned this suit for my birthday for sure!!!)

The sneakers, to be frank, are my go-to summer shoes. They are made by a company that I found out about from a friend about a year ago. Basically, I was looking for Common Projects but was hesitant to pull the trigger as they generally run like $425, and are hella (I’ve clearly lived in The Bay too long) difficult to find in stock in my size (If you think Telfar is bad, try finding Common Projects retail in a size 47).

A friend was like, “Bro check out New Republic; it’s essentially a Common Project for a fraction of the price” (Tyrek McRae, I’ll be forever thankful my guy!) In my closet, these have become the GQ casual equivalent of a pair of forces. Big picture, I’ll prolly cop a pair for the summer each year cause they’re hella comfy and can take a little wear (eg. out to the club/venue, music festivals, etc. w/ very little yellowing or scuffing – within reason)

This look is representative of where I’m at in the moment. Business, but casual and somehow completely at peace in it all. Super thankful for all of the growth this last year has afforded me. The level up has been rea,l and tbh is still in progress. Let’s get it (in my Jeezy voice) for the rest of 2021!

PS. OUTSIDE FINNA BE LIT!!!!
