Grizzly Peak
<

Amid Covid-19, I can honestly say all of our mental fortitudes have been tested. The reality is that social distancing is a thing, and as a result, I’m sure many of you are at your wit’s end for finding things to do.

No need to fear, I’ve found your saving grace… GOOGLE (Bahahahaha). I bet you thought I was going to say something super poetic or insightful, but it’s that simple. One of the best things I’ve googled in the last 4.5 months is things to do while social distancing. It’s a rabbit hole for sure, but it led me to this beautiful overlook nestled just outside of the SF Bay Area (proper).

I present… Grizzly Peak (aka Fish Ranch Road as the locals call it)

It’s nothing short of a stunning view of the Bay! From the overlook, you can see the bridges, the ocean, the islands, Sausalito, Oakland/Berkeley, and, of course, the SF skyline.

Of course, I threw on a fit… OD casual, mostly because quarantine has given me an entirely new appreciation for sweatpants, GEEZ! In true ATL-ien form, I opted for a crisp white tee and paired it with the White Sox New era fitted and the Nike react element 87’ “Light Orewood”. I haven’t mentioned the pants yet for a reason… You’ll be pleased to know that COVID and the world being at a standstill won’t stop you from buying these pants.

How is that possible might you ask… not because there is an “online shop” but because these come from THE ONLINE SHOP – AMAZON. (Link) They are super comfy, and I love the cut as they are a tailored fit straight out of the bag. One point of feedback, and I feel like we have this conversation every time I give a product recommendation. If you have big thighs, you know if I’m talking to you, please order a size larger than you normally would as the taper for these pants starts at the hip. You will likely have more space in the waist than you need, but the pants are a tie waist so you can pull them around a bit to adjust bunching. Again, super casual comfy fit which was perfect for this quick adventure.

Since I have a little more room to chat… Here’s a quick story about me getting finessed lol. So I’m driving up this hill to get to the overlook and I see a fruit stand at a random intersection. I pay it very little attention as it’s Cali, and people sell fruit everywhere. After I left the overlook, I’m feeling great, gotta couple of decent shots, and high endorphins. So what I do… Stop at the fruit stand. IDK who this guy thought I was, but he came out the gate HOT. “How’s it going sir, was wondering how much for your water-mel-lone?” What he said next was completely outrageous and made me gasp a little…”$15”. Ain’t no way!

I politely boxed him into a very small budget. “Sir I have $10 cash, and I’d like more than a single piece of fruit. What can we work out?”. I walked away with a bag of oranges, some cherries, and a small box of strawberries. Oh, and ended up giving him $15. I thought I had won. Lowe and behold none of it was sweet smh.

Moral of the story, don’t hit up the random fruit stand guy in a fit or you will get finessed (or maybe I’m just salty lol)
