Ok so look, fashion is about being daring, taking risks, and stepping out of that box you know as your comfort zone.
This is me doing just that….
Red leather jacket from Zara. This piece and I have had a long and illustrious “In the house” relationship. What I mean is I’ve had this jacket about 3-4 years and have only mustered up the courage to wear it out a grand total of 4 times.
This look is a stretch on casual. The jacket itself is a staple piece. Typically, these jackets are relegated to black or brown. Generally, I’m a fan of those color options, but the red just spoke to me.
It’s sort of an MJ “Beat It” meets the 1990’s Doo Wop boy-band look lol. Serenades loading for all you lovers out there. This is an easy outfit for a night on the town. The black tee, black slacks combo is generally suitable for any venue setting (nightclub, jazz club, dive bar), and the jacket is the perfect staple piece to set you apart from the crowd.
Time and time again. I’ll say simplicity is your friend when there is a pop of color. It’s a value play when your statement piece isn’t so subtle. I’ve seen this jacket finessed both casually and in a more sophisticated fashion.
Casual you could go hoodie, fitted, jeans, and Jordans while keeping the other pieces simple of course; gotta let the jacket speak.
Dressy looks usually involve a button-down, slacks, and a pair of Chelsea boots or loafers to round out the look.
Either option is honestly a win, and thus, a few variations around wearing a light to low use piece that is neatly seated in your wardrobe.
High level wouldn’t recommend making this your day-to-day jacket, but if you copped it at Zara, I’m sure you knew that in the first place.
Final note: Slacks are tailored (Ralph), Shoes (Vans), T-shirt (Target)
