Sometimes we make life too difficult.
Everything doesn’t have to be a suit or blazer. It’s totally appropriate for you to just kick it, word to ESCAPE. This fit is OD casual, but if comfort is key, I can truly say that i’m Comfortable!
For this look I completely reverted back to my fashion roots. I legit only wore street clothes for about a 3 year period in college. It was easy, quick, and comfortable. At some point in that journey I found a suit and a tailor and like that came a change up.
Because of the change I acquired the tailoring bug and as they say, old habits die hard… so even in my street clothes, everything that I have on has been tailored (even the jeans).
My struggle:
Apparently to clothiers i’m not as wide as I am tall, which is to say I can find the right length but the item is usually too big in all the wrong places. A snip here and there makes a world of difference when is comes to a fit.
The Jersey:
The dodgers jersey is a classic, and it’s the Majestic Cool Base version which is perfect for summer heat. What’s really dope about this version is that you can easily get it customized to make it your own. Check out the link above!
The Jeans:
The Jeans are 501 Levi’s, but I had them tailored for the perfect fit. After a snip they were ready for conquering any environment. Typically what I’m focused on when I get pants tailored is the hem and how they will break over my shoes. This cut is about a quarter inch below the ankle. As a cheat code I usually put a cuff in my jeans so that they can be worn with a pair of loafers and remove the cuff when I wear with tennis shoes. Boots are usually a toss-up. (I know this is simple but it’ll make a world of difference in your looks). For this look, I paired them with a sneaker head classic the 2010 Jordan flint 13s.
The Sneakers:
This is a Sneaker head favorite, so much so that it was released 2 more times since its original release in 1997. The last release was the 2010 so I think we may be overdue for a re-release. (I wonder what Jordan has up his sleeve).
The Fitted Cap:
Finally, the fitted. I feel like I go in and out of phases where I love the fitted cap look and I then I’m over it lol. Thus why I grew my hair out lol. “Fitteds” are a great accessory and the right ones can be worn in a variety of settings. My caution to you…. Get your haircut regardless or keep the $20 in your pocket because if you stumble across an event that you want to get into in Atlanta they are going to charge you for your hat lol.
Overall, If you’re looking for a cool casual way to beat summer heat…. This option is a winner. It’s a chill fit that still allows you to drip without being in peoples face. Gotta love when its subtle and saucey.
To a life worth living,
The Wkender
