Tropical Vibes at a Grocery Store Near You!
L

Ladies and Gentleman, I’m not sure if you all are getting anxiety or if it’s just me, but this whole quarantine situation has been crippling my travel plans. As a result, I’m having withdrawals, again.

Because I can’t be on the beaches of Tahiti or frolicking off the coast of Greece near the Aegean, here’s what gonna happen… I’mma give all these city slickers a taste of the tropics on a normal ahh day.

Tangential discussion (if you’ve been following for a while, you know this happens sometimes): You have to be willing to be looked at crazy or be stared at to do this. I personally believe that confidence is built or broken in these moments, and it’s a result of what you decide to do with the situation at hand. For instance, the place where I took these photos is a wealthy part of town. Agree or disagree, but I would argue that truly wealthy people, more often than not, are not flashy in their appearance.

They will have on the most expensive t-shirt you can buy that has absolutely no indication of the label/brand. So as I’m walking around in a tropical two-piece set, did I stick out, absolutely. Did that matter… NOPE. What I’m doing matters more to me than the opinions of people who don’t have any immediate impact on my life or pockets. Gotta be willing to chart your own course sometimes.

This outfit is a daring look perfect for the beach, any tropical climate, or if you’re in Atlanta… a boat party lol, and what’s most exciting is that I did it all for under $130 (including the shoes). Jewelry sold separately lol.

The 2 piece is from Amazon

The shoes are from New Republic #favs

The hat is from Target

Long story short, yeen gotta be a dope boy to have fits lol. Quarantine has tested our creativity and our patience equally, but we will not be defeated. If you ain’t got nowhere to go but the grocery store, at least do it fashionably!

To a Life Worth Living,
