What’s fashion without finesse?
<

There’s a simple inalienable truth about fashion… It’s personal. For me, bright colors and designs are generally always within bounds lol, but this is something different.

I couldn’t find what I wanted in stores so I had a conversation with my network and voila, a custom tailor out of the clear blue sky!

Real rap, I had a made to measure experience conducted through Whatsapp. Shoutout to my homie in Bahrain.

Here was the process…

1) We had already sourced the tailor and understood their requirements. They sent over a measurement sheet with images to make life super simple.

2)I went to my local tailor to get all of the measurements done properly cause lord knows I need someone to teach me to properly use a measuring tape lol.

3) From there, a few rounds of back and forth (Centimeters and inches

are definitely a key discussion point! Also, be patient; they are providing a service)

4) Then to the fun part, sampling!!!!!

4a) I sent a photo of the items that I was interested in having developed, and they sent back images of the fabric that they had sourced. I loved it!!!

5) It took 3 weeks to build the suits to the specs, and I paid for shipping separately.

5a)Let’s just say I paid a very reasonable price

I honestly just wanted something dope to wear for New Years, but this is a set suitable for many occasions. The chameleon-based, gold, paisley blazer donned with navy blue accents provides a standout, elegant look that will turn many-a-head no matter the occasion. I generally opt for a standout piece with simpler accents. The blazer, of course, was the standout, but even in their simplicity, the other pieces held their weight.

-Oversized Navy Velvet Bowtie

-Navy Slacks (exact same fabric as the lapel, perks to customization)

-Simple white shirt

-Loafers

The inspo was simple (Pictured Right)

Big picture, there is no secret recipe, go and seek out the things that interest you. If you can’t find it in the store then make it. If you can’t make it yourself, find someone to make it for you. Fly by any means necessary!
