Every day isn’t a day for you to be eccentric with your looks. Sometimes It’s ok to throw on a tee and live your best life and for this look that is zackly what tie did. Keep it a buck with you we was tie-red lawd. Homecoming was a blur and we needed to make sure that what we did was not only effortless but feasible. TBH though that is the story of life sometimes too.
There are days where you have all the time in the world to pick out a fit, parlay, second and third guess yourself and then walk out of the door. Then there are other days where it is the polar opposite… you have 10 seconds to brush your teeth (my dentist friends, please don’t fight me, I KNOW BETTER) and its the best you can do to find something clean that matches. This look falls somewhere between. I had just enough time to think about it and too few minutes to take a second look and it came out just how I wanted it to… COMFORTABLE.
I think it only appropriate to take this approach to a fit while wearing the yeezy’s given the very comfortable approach Mr. West takes to life these days (no shade just facts – Also I DO NOT WANT TO ARGUE ABOUT KANYE lol)
Couple things on this look:
Graphic Tee: completely against the recommendation of my dear friend Mr. Soyemi, I keep a solid 3-5 graphic tees in my rotation. I know that they are fast fashion and as a result will phase in and out relatively quickly but items like this Pink Floyd tee make a statement and it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. (Bet you can’t name a Pink Floyd song off the top of your head)
Light wash Jeans: Look there are no rules to this fashion game. I wore these jeans in one of the first shoots I did for the blog and they are still on reserve, and to take it a step further, I generally remember to wear them when it gets cold out. People who are super prescriptive around what you can and cannot do in fashion have wayyy to much time on their hands. If it looks good and beats the weather… RUN IT!
Yeezy’s: I DETESTED the emergence of the dad shoe as a look. It bothered me to the point where I started fussing like a grandpa. Those shoes are ugly, idk why yall kids spending your money on that foolishness, now you know you wrong for those shoes…. Now, look at me. In a pair of these Ortholites living my best life. This is Dr. Schoelles on steroids with a dash of I’m that guy! The hospital blues are essentially a color block as 98% of the shoe is the same color and I LOVE IT. if you have not at least tried a pair on you are missing out on life.
Oh, I had to get another fitted lol people deadass thought I was from New York lol.
Plain and simple have you a comfortable killer fit or three tucked away for the days when you really don’t wanna try but you know you poppin!
