Y’all (for those of you reading this who don’t believe that this is a contraction, im from Georgia where it is lol). I know it is grammatically incorrect but im telling you there is no other way to start this post. We have the pleasure of featuring Ms. Mariah S. Mitchell – A.K.A. “BlasianxBeauty” and this Month’s WkendHER and when I tell you she is just as astonishing in person as she is on her social media. We were in awe, but per usual, we dug a little deeper and what we found was nothing less than spectacular!
Mariah is Atlanta’s very own lawyer/fashionista/stylist/boutique owner/insta-star! If you don’t already follow her on instagram, a quick peek at her IG or a scroll through any relevant “outfit of the day” blog will make you an insta-fan of Mariah’s “OOTD” selfies! But shes not ‘just’ any fashion blogger…she’s way more and underestimating this pretty face would be a huge mistake!!!
Mariah’s interest in fashion began at the age of 12. “Back then,
I LOVED Baby Phat! You couldn’t catch me out the house without my Baby Phat backpack. My love for the brand turned into a love for one of my biggest inspirations in life…Kimora Lee Simmons, which then turned me on to FASHION.” From then on, she started dressing up and taking photos of each outfit in the mirror in her room and thus a star was born! What started as a hobby on myspace would later become @blasianxbeauty on instagram.
Around the same time she took an interest in fashion, Mariah also decided that she wanted to become a lawyer, an uncommon pair, but she’s superwoman! After finishing up her bachelor’s degree in Japanese & Chinese language & literature at The University of Georgia in 3 years, she went straight to law school at The University of Alabama, School of Law. Now, this recent law school grad plans to take the Georgia Bar Exam and begin her practice in Atlanta later this year, with a concentration in entertainment law & personal injury.
During her law school journey, Mariah’s instagram started gaining popularity for her mirror selfies of various outfits. Her popularity only further increased when she became a mother to a beautiful baby girl named Mina and shared her “OOTD” selfies documenting her pregnancy. This opened up doors for Mariah to collaborate with many fashion brands and get paid for posting their products. Once she was introduced to the internal workings of marketing & selling apparel on social media and she realized her followers soon became paying customers for brands she promoted, it wasn’t long before she created her online fashion boutique called, House of BXB (Instagram)!
House of BXB is a trendy & affordable fashion boutique for women. The boutique is Mariah’s thought child which spawn from a constant feed of followers who wanted to know what she was wearing. She affectionately frames House of BXB as an opportunity to share pieces that she would have in her closet.

This soon-to-be lawyer, who is as brainy as she is chic, embodies a modern-day renaissance woman. Not only is she a multi-lingual scholar, mother, and stylist for men and women in the Atlanta area, Mariah’s also a full-time businesswoman, proving she is more than just a pretty face. Her ultimate goal in life is to become ’that’ role model for her daughter to look up to and inspire others to be the best versions of themselves!
