Every feature is an opportunity for both you and I to learn a bit more about a millennial making waves in today’s marketplace and to be honest this is one of the most exciting parts of the blog for me! This month’s Wkender Feature is none other than Mr. Mark A. Williams, renaissance man and guru of all things marketing (AKA Marketing Williams). For many, Mark’s name and reputation precede him as he is a mover and shaker in Atlanta, but for those who aren’t as familiar here’s some insight…
When I say renaissance man, it’s not a light hearted statement. Mark is an author, MARKeting professional, and consultant.
In his book, The Brand Builder: Seven Plans to Expand Your Brand, Mark explores strategies that have helped some of world’s largest Fortune 500 corporations and most recognizable brands grow, connect with their target audiences and achieve repeat success. As a note,
#TheBrandBuilderBook was featured in RollingOut magazine and the #2017BlackList, while his annual philanthropic event, the Capital City Christmas, was featured on Bossip in 2018. If you’re at all considering starting a business or attempting to scale, this guidebook will give you the vital tools you need to propel your business to success and go from good to GREAT!
Here’s what unique about Mark… You know how many of us have adopted this idea that its bad to be put into a box, because we aren’t just one thing? Mark was the guy who said from the gate that there was no box at all (mind blow lol). His personal and professional track record exemplify the fact that he is a trailblazer and will leave no stone unturned when it comes to his success.
Soooooo… Brigital!
In addition to being an author, he is also award-winning founder and digital marketing consultant with Brigital (Sent you straight to the reviews so you can know what you’re working with). Simply put, Brigital = Brand + Digital.
“We help brands bridge the gap between themselves and the cutting-edge technologies that can help them increase customer-brand engagement. We provide award-winning services in digital brand strategy, marketing automation, and marketing consulting. We thrive in improving YOUR customer’s experiences and interaction with your brand, leaving an everlasting
impression within their hearts forever.”
His drive to create a company rooted in service to brands did not occur by happenstance, he first built expertise through marketing work in a few of the corporate behemoths. He led countless marketing projects as a Digital Brand Marketing Manager with Newell Brands (Rubbermaid) and was a Digital Marketing Consultant with Accenture.
After writing a book, starting a business, and conquering corporate, it was nearly impossible for Mark to go unnoticed. His work and dedication led to being recognized as a member of the 2017 Who’s Who in Black Atlanta, being seated as the Chairman of Social Events for the Emerging 100 of Atlanta, and becoming the Director of Marketing for the Eta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated.
When asked about fashion, with a specific focus on how it has impacted him personally and professionally, here’s what Mark had to say:
Fashion is important because it allows me to express myself with the same confidence and swag that I put into my work every day. Similar to how I approach my career and outside interests, I refuse to be limited to doing just one thing or having one interest. I recall being a kid and the feeling wearing a white window-pane blazer to a pre-school prom; I felt like I was the flyest kid there. That picture is probably still one of my ultimate favorites. (we were able to get him to dig through the archives – the picture is below)
Thank you for allowing us to shine a light on your accomplishments, it was our pleasure featuring you brother. Onward and upward!!!
To a Life Worth Living,
The Wkender
