Fun Fact: Atlanta had a hockey team at one point. I know right, can you imagine, blades to ice in a city called HOTLANTA (Name holds true but ive always despised it lol).

The Atlanta Thrashers existed in a period of sports prominence for the city. The Hawks were a force in the east standing up to the Celtics in the NBA Finals. The Braves finished second in the division. The Dirty Birds lost the wild card playoffs to the giants, but hey the city is and will remain behind them. What a time to be alive and in the mix of things. 2011 ended and so began the refacing of sports in the city. Why do i say that, you may ask? One of my favorite past times would be no more! The Thrashers were sold to

Canadian-based ownership group True North Sports & Entertainment and were moved to Winnipeg.

To be honest, i’ve never been one to watch sports on television there’s something about either being in person or playing that is far more stimulating for me. I was sad to see the Thrashers go because hockey is one of the most action packed sports to watch, you literally never know what you will see.

I bring all of this up because as a new resident of the bay i once again have a hockey team to go watch. IDK much about the sharks, but a quick google search gave me a baseline. Here is what we know….

The San Jose Sharks hold one of the highest average player ages of all teams in the NHL at 28.4. The Franchise has only won one conference championship 2015-2016 (per google) and now are in the battle for the 2019 Stanley Cup. Its been an uphill battle fighting through injuries against the St. Louis Blues, but if all goes well in game 6 the road to the cup continues. The series is currently 3-2 Blues and if the sharks win tonight GAME 7 WILL BE ONE FOR THE BOOKS!

Enough of my Pseudo Hockey fan vibes, this jersey is a statement piece and we have to talk about it. You don’t see too many people rocking hockey jersey’s as day to day wear, but they are truly a vibe. The sharks colors are vibrant and they will set you apart from the crowd. What’s important for people in warmer climates is that there are multiple versions of the jersey that provide different levels of breathability.

This Fanatics jersey is made of a really light mesh fabric and boasts the following:

  • FanFit: The authentic on-ice look with a more tailored fit

  • FanTex: An all-new super comfortable soft fabric

  • FanShield: Incredibly light and breathable fabric that will keep you cool and dry

  • FanFlex / Flexible Shields: Lightweight, flexible crests and patches that fold easy

I saw it and fell in love immediately. To take this look up a notch i paired it with the HYPER TURQUOISE/BLACK-WHITE low top Jordan 1. I promise even in the 80-85 degree temps I was keeping it cool.

Good Luck to the Sharks tonight, but even if it doesn’t go as planned the fit will still be respected in the streets.

Cheers to a fast body-contact game played by men with clubs in their hands and knives laced to their feet.  -Paul Gallico
