Lets start with the Facts, I was tempted to write this post as a single line… Its COLD and dassit!
I was advised against doing so lol.
Long story short, the time has come to layer up. And when I say layer I mean you need to pull out all the stops.
For this look I have on an undershirt, a long sleeve oxford collar button up, a cotton shawl-neck sweater, and an active bubble vest.
From the perspective of warmth, i achieved my goals and all was right with the world. However, as a larger guy i have to be attentive to how certain clothing items layer. Some are perfect and help to maintain a sleeker aesthetic. Others make me look huge! This is borderline, i think i got away with it, but either way i was warm and that’s what counts.
The newsboy hat adds a classic touch to an updated look. I love this style hat as it is so versatile. It can be used for causal wear or if your looking to dress up a little. A note to those who want to push its limits, be careful with these hats and formal wear. They are a little too casual for most suits.
The Jeans:
Each year i get a billion questions around a subtle preferential action,,,
Light jeans in the winter. Personally, I believe in white after labor day, so of course light jeans in the winter is a thing in my mind. I love the color contrast of light jeans over a dark boot. In this instance I chose the dark brown Chelsea boot. The pants are tapered which creates the perfectly snug fit over the boot. I’m starting to realize that I don’t like cuffs over boots anymore. (is it out of style? Or is it just me?)
To Continue in my original sentiment i’ll leave you with this… Its gonna be a cold November!
