Patisserie in the City
T

This is the quintessential blogger shoot. To every coffee shop that has ever been the muse of a blogger and their quest for fame, I salute you!

This day was really interesting due to a few uncharacteristic things that happened:

1.       Typically, we are either secluded in our location for a shoot or in a high-volume, popular photo shoot location where no one bats an eye at people taking pictures. Café intermezzo is distinctively not one of those places. It’s usually not too crowded, but has enough people present to make sure it doesn’t feel empty. This allows enough room for someone to have a conversation with you between shots.

We are not sure who this lady is, but hey, she wanted shots and who are we to keep her from indulging!

2.       We occasionally have props in the shots and I needed a newspaper… it just felt right! You would not believe how extraordinarily hard it is to find a news paper in Midtown Atlanta. We could’ve done a shoot that was solely the scavenger hunt for a newspaper.

Six stores and two restaurants later, I gave up and went back to café. Then, within a 2-3 second conversation with the waiter, I am politely told, “I wish you would’ve said something sooner. I have a newspaper.” Sometimes what you need is so close that you miss it if you don’t slow down.

Now...on to the fit

Linen past Labor day…I don’t follow rules and they don’t like that! (not sure who “They” are, but we can go ask DJ Khaled. I’m sure he has the answer). Honestly, it is still seven-million degrees outside, so I will continue rocking summer attire until further notice (shrugs).

I paired the light pastel green linen pants with the Hawaiian-inspired button-down and Toms for a tropical vibe. These materials are light and breathable to easily beat the late-summer heat. This look is perfect for a chill day in the city or as a vacation look in the dead of winter when you escape to paradise.

Finally, the location

Café Intermezzo is a wonderful reprieve in the middle in the city that gives you “Paris patisserie” vibes. The menu is as extensive as it is adventurous. If you ever want to travel, but you’re strapped for cash – this is your travel destination!

Cheers to a life worth living!
