You’re a Star Too!

Am I the only one who wonders about some of the experiences that media tries to get us to buy into? Fast cars, designer clothes, helicopters…

I mean really, there has to be a way to do these things for a reasonable price or else it wouldn’t be so commonplace. As an aside, I was at work and one of my boys posted a whole story about a helicopter ride around the city and at that point, I knew I had to try it.

My next steps were simple:

– Select a Female Focal Point

-Research Helicopter Tours

– Purchase Helicopter Tour

-Recreate Celebrity Moments at a Reasonable Cost

First, the Focal Point:

Ms. Danielle Narcisse (@hertwenties): Broward born-n-bred and truly stunning. She has made Atlanta her second home.

About her:

Danielle currently holds the title Director of Gender & Well Being at Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

She is always abreast of happenings civically and in pop-culture. Furthermore, she does digital and social media strategy in her spare time for firms around the city. Her unique cocktail of skills and passions led her to start a blog a few years ago HerTwenties and its pure flames.

Here is a snippet:

[The idea behind this blog was my realization that while our 20’s are a fun, wild ride, they’re also hard. Like the kind of hard no one warned you about. These days my life is like a roller coaster with crazy and hilarious ups and downs. Some days end with lessons and others in victories, but all in all, it is a magical time. This blog, like our twenties, is constantly evolving but in it, you will find all things twenties- daily struggles, motivational pieces, and lifestyle with fashion and beauty posts, because who doesn’t love those? Welcome to the HerTwenties Community!]

Her Look:

Summer is around the corner and ladies I must say if you want an outfit for the day or night that will help you brave the summer heat in the most stylish of ways, look no further than HotMiamiStyles.com. This dress is sheer and layered which means its breathable and shows just enough to create intrigue, but not too much. She paired the dress with chunky black heels which are uber comfortable and are essentially made for standing long periods of time. This look is great for a day party and would be perfect to carry you into a lounge setting well through the night. Its Sexy, its chic, its sheer…what more could you ask for?

My Look:

I was going for “im about my business but ready to party”. I think the navy blue with baby blue window panes meets that goal!

Its classy enough to wear to any setting, but if you wear it to the club you’re the impressive guy in the section. I paired it with a navy blue dotted tie, on some level it screams I’m in charge and that’s a positive thing from time to time. I would not suggest this as everyday wear but it is great when you have a big meeting and you want to exude confidence by your appearance. It’s also good for trying to look like the black James bond while doing a helicopter tour. Oh, the socks are loud, but I couldn’t help but do it (lol, Kanye Shrug).

Let’s go for a ride:

Atlanta Helicopters LLC has dozens of packages at the Peachtree Dekalb and Fulton County Airports. It’s truly an experience for the books!

Upon arrival, we were greeted by our Pilot and the process was simple. We signed in, gave our driver’s licenses for Identification, and we were off to the races. The walkout was everything!!!

Once we made it to the Helicopter I was sure to grab a few shots to capture the moment!

Finally up in the sky. If you have ever sat and watched the news, there is a 5-second snippet where they pan across the city just before they present the anchors. I’ve always loved that moment and on that day, I got to live it!

Atlanta is astonishing from up top and I strongly encourage everyone to take a helicopter tour to bask in its full glory!!!

To a Life Worth Living,

The Wkender.
